Income Tax Advisory & ComplianceServices & Regulatory Framework

Chartered Accountancy services in Raipur, Chhattisgarh & Kalahandi, Odisha. Partner-led engagement ensuring full statutory compliance under applicable laws.

Income tax touches every individual and business at three critical recurring points throughout the financial year: Advance Tax planning and payment, monthly TDS/TCS deduction and quarterly returns, and annual Income Tax Return (ITR) filing with tax audit finalisation. Failing in any of these obligations triggers automated notices, interest under Sections 234A/234B/234C, late fees, and potential expense disallowances under Section 40(a)(ia).

Under the active statutory provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (as amended by Finance Acts), our partner-led practice advises individuals, professionals, partnership firms, LLPs, companies, and non-residents across Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, and Kalahandi (Odisha), delivering complete statutory accuracy and strategic tax optimisation.

Which Income Tax Act governs my returns and assessments currently?
All income tax filings, assessments, tax audits, and appeals in India are governed by the enacted **Income-tax Act, 1961** as amended by annual Finance Acts. Claims or rumors regarding a draft Direct Tax Code do not alter current statutory obligations.
When is my income tax return due for AY 2026-27?
For salaried individuals and non-audit cases filing ITR-1 or ITR-2, the due date is 31st July 2026. For businesses and professionals filing ITR-3 or ITR-4 without tax audit, the due date is 31st August 2026. For entities liable to tax audit under Section 44AB, the audit report is due by 30th September and the ITR by 31st October.
What are the standard quarterly TDS return forms and due dates?
TDS returns are filed quarterly under the Income-tax Act, 1961: Form 24Q for Salary (due 31 July, 31 Oct, 31 Jan, 31 May) and Form 26Q for Non-Salary payments to residents. Form 27Q covers payments to non-residents, and Form 27EQ covers Tax Collected at Source (TCS).
I received a notice under Section 148 for an earlier year. How is it handled?
Reassessment under Section 148 / 148A requires the tax department to have tangible information suggesting income has escaped assessment, conduct a preliminary inquiry under Section 148A(a), provide a show-cause notice under Section 148A(b), and obtain prior sanction from the specified authority under Section 151. We evaluate procedural validity and file evidence-backed responses on the e-filing portal.
